Job Description:
We are currently looking to recruit for field-based service engineers who would be responsible for the installations, breakdowns and the servicing of our world class machines. Reporting directly to their Service Coordinator, engineers will work across the range of machines including milling and turning centres, from 2 axis to 5 axis machines.
The role would ideally suit an experienced Engineer based in Leeds / Bradford or Cambridge and with a maintenance or machine tool background, who will be required to work away from home when required, including travel, throughout the United Kingdom and possibly Ireland if required.
The successful candidate will be expected to use this opportunity to build on their machine tool knowledge and experience to become a key member of the Service Team.
The Person:
In conjunction with the points noted below, it is essential that the ideal candidate has a positive can-do attitude with the ability to think outside of the box, as there will be times when they have to use their own initiative to think around problems.
• Basic programming experience (Mazak /Siemens/ Heidenhain).
• Understanding of Levelling, alignments and geometrics adjustments of machine tools.
• Knowledge / understanding of different control systems (Siemens/Fanuc/Heidenhain/Mazak).
• Experience of dealings with people at different levels, at customer site.
• Any 5-axis knowledge would be beneficial.
Not all of the points above are essential as the relevant training will be provided for the right candidate.
