John Pipe are proud to have signed the Armed Forces Covenant – a promise to treat those who have served in the forces fairly. We have received the bronze award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) and commit to honouring the Armed Forces Covenant and supporting the Armed Forces Community. We are now demonstrating our commitment by working towards the Silver Award. Those who serve in the Armed Forces, whether Regular, Reserve, or in the past, should face no disadvantage compared to other citizens in the provision of public and commercial services (including the families of those who served). We believe that special consideration is appropriate in some cases, especially for those who have given the most such as the injured and/or the bereaved. This obligation involves the whole of society: it includes voluntary and charitable bodies, private organisations, and the actions of individuals in supporting the Armed Forces. Recognising those who have performed military duty unites the country and demonstrates the value of their contribution.
