Almit is one of the world's top 5 leading manufacturers and suppliers of soldering materials. The parent company Nihon Almit was founded in Japan in 1956 and is one of the pioneers in the development and production of solder wires. Almit GmbH was founded in Bietigheim-Bissingen at the end of 2000, and in July 2005 the company headquarters were relocated to Michelstadt near Frankfurt am Main, where the warehouse for Central Europe has also been located ever since. The products manufactured in Asia are distributed worldwide by Almit, while Almit Germany concentrates on the European and North African markets.
