• No NRE charges
• Flexible delivery schedules
• Our unprecedented 5-year warranty.
• Discounted or free electronic design where DSL are undertaking manufacture.
Having previously used CEM’s ourselves for over 30 years, prior to launching in-house manufacturing, has given DSL the advantage of knowing exactly what is important to a CEM’s customers.
Through this we have built up a reputation of excellent service and trust with our clients. This alongside our capabilities is what allows us to offer so many unique selling points that we know have huge value for OEMs and design houses alike.
Our team of on-site design engineers means that we are there to assist at every point, from pre-manufacture Design Health Check reviews, to smoothly navigating and resolving the complexities inherent in the manufacturing processes, such as obsolescence. Ensuring that your delivery remains on schedule and without compromising on quality.
With in-house experts undertaking final assemblies, full inspection and functional testing – plus with flexible call off arrangements, you only pay for your working product as and when you need it.
Our brand new fully automated SMT line uses the latest technology to achieve IPC quality standards cost-effectively.

PCB Assembly
PCB assembly may seem straightforward — load components, insert a bare PCB, and press ‘GO’. However, it’s a complex process with countless potential pitfalls, where even a single error can turn a PCB assembly into a costly failure. The key to success lies not just in the machinery used, but significantly in the expertise of the operators. These skilled professionals meticulously set up the profile of the PCB and precisely place every component, often with sub-millimetre accuracy. It’s this synergy of high-quality machinery and exceptionally skilled operators that enables the production of robust and reliable PCB assemblies. At DSL, we understand that the perfection of PCB assembly is an art as much as it is a science, demanding both technological excellence and human precision.

PCB Re-design
In the unpredictable world of manufacturing, DSL’s re-design service is a beacon of reliability. While the ideal scenario involves perfect design and readily available components, reality often presents different challenges. Our skilled team is adept at addressing these issues, ensuring manufacturing processes continue smoothly without unnecessary delays. With extensive experience in design engineering, we’re proficient in identifying suitable drop-in replacement parts or, if needed, modifying circuitry to fit the best available alternatives. Our approach isn’t just about problem-solving; we proactively seek out areas for improvement. Whether it’s enhancing cost efficiency, reliability, or functionality, our goal is to propose and implement strategic tweaks or changes that benefit our clients, leveraging our expertise to provide solutions that are not only effective but also add value to your product.
PCB Design Health Check
DSL’s optional complimentary PCB Design Health Check Service let’s you use our in-house design engineers to give your PCB design a second set of expert eyes review, prior to us building your prototypes. We’ll be checking for design errors, from major functional issues to more minor tidying up issues – and provide a recommendation report on how to solve them. DSL provide a full man day of in-house engineering effort to increase the chances of your prototypes working first time – via this service we’ve caught many of the issues often overlooked during checking, that would have prevented a working PCB assembly or delayed delivery due to resolving issues mid-build.

Box Build
Box Build services cater to a wide array of requirements, ranging from the simple task of placing a PCB assembly into an enclosure to more complex operations. At its most intricate, Box Build can involve installing firmware/software, crafting and fitting cabling, inspection, licensing, labelling, serialisation, connectivity and burn-in testing, and comprehensive functional testing. Determining the extent of external versus in-house assembly is a nuanced decision, balancing the optimal use of internal and external resources. While some cases are clear-cut, like a CEM pre-assembling an aircraft’s black box, others require careful consideration to decide the most efficient and logical approach. At DSL, we help our clients navigate these decisions, offering tailored Box Build solutions to meet their specific needs and ensure the best possible outcome for their projects.
