The wash tank has supports designed for the lifting beam and can bear the mould's weight. During the cleaning process, the chain hoist can be detached and the lid securely closed. In the quick rinse and passivation stages, the lifting beam is supported by the hoist. Control devices for temperature, treatment time, and start/stop functions are conveniently located on the front panel of the tanks.

Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI)
Kemet, a leading provider of precision surface finishing solutions, has introduced Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) systems to its portfolio of non-destructive-test (NDT) inspection equipment. FPI is commonly used in the aerospace and medical industries as a reliable and efficient method for detecting surface defects in components without causing damage to them. Kemet's latest FPI systems come with state-of-the-art process control capabilities that guarantee excellent batch-to-batch consistency, process safety, and batch traceability within the pre-defined parameters. The FPI systems have been meticulously designed and constructed to meet the exacting standards of the ASTM E1417 FPI, which is a widely accepted industry standard in the aerospace and medical sectors. Kemet provides a variety of FPI systems that can be customised with a combination of manual and automated operations to optimise and simplify NDT inspection procedures. The integrated waste water handling and extraction systems are available as options to generate cost savings on process chemicals, labour, and energy consumption. These FPI systems have been supplied to various industries for inspecting airframe components, turbine blades, and medical implants, as well as smaller manual systems for less critical parts. An intelligent combination of automation and manual handling can significantly reduce labour requirements, while an adjustable layout can provide a small footprint. Kemet offers a diverse selection of FPI systems that cater to varying requirements, encompassing flexible manual roll track spray lines with a small physical footprint, as well as fully automated roll conveyor immersion lines that facilitate high-capacity, mass production via dipping penetrant application. These systems come equipped with a "Dust Storm" developer chamber and integrated pre and post-wash features, streamlining the inspection process.

Hardness Testers
Achieving accurate and efficient metallographic specimen preparation is essential to unlock the full potential of your hardness testing. The precision and quality of metal samples depend heavily on the methodology used in hardness testing. Hardness testing is an integral part of various applications, including research in universities, production of automotive and aerospace components, and assessment of coatings and case hardness treatments. Thus, it becomes imperative to ensure the quality and reliability of the end products by determining the hardness of materials accurately. However, with a wide range of hardness testing machines available in the market, it becomes perplexing to choose the right one that best fits the requirement. Additionally, the cost of purchasing a hardness tester can be considerably higher than a complete suite of sample preparation equipment and consumables. To simplify the hardness testing process, it is crucial to follow the ISO and ASTM standards that regulate the calculation of sample hardness and calibration of the testing unit. Keeping this in mind, Kemet is delighted to announce the launch of its Duroline series of hardness testers. These benchtop hardness testers are designed for Vickers and Knoop measurements and come with an integrated 22” full HD multi-touch monitor. The user-friendly N-sure software package offers automatic multi-measurement options when coupled with the automated x/y stage. Moreover, the software includes built-in CHD, EHT, and NHT measurement functions for accurate results and can generate test reports automatically. The Duroline series of hardness testers is suitable for a wide range of applications, including material testing laboratories and smaller component production quality assurance departments. The range of models available can accommodate test loads from HV0.01 to HV30, making Duroline hardness testers ideal for testing small precision parts, thin materials, or wire coatings.

Spectroscopy Sample Preparation Equipment
Spectroscopy sample preparation of metals and materials have become more and more important because of the rapid development and improvement of both software as well as OES and XRF devices during the past few years that shifts the detection limit for trace analyses. It is crucial to have the sample properly prepared. The sample needs to be both representative, homogeneous and with an even surface in order to eliminate factors that can influence the results.
Deburring Tools
Kemet has been supplying Xebec ceramic abrasive stones for several years, which has earned a solid reputation in the market. The Xebec deburring polishing brushes have been developed to polish both ferrous and non-ferrous materials, eliminating cutter marks and improving surface roughness on top surfaces, sides, inner diameters, and channels. These brushes employ a patented ceramic fibre technology that delivers substantially superior grinding power, consistent performance, and excellent surface finish compared to conventional deburring methods. The Xebec ceramic fibres are composed of 500 to 1000 fibres that act as cutting edges, making them the only brushes made entirely of ceramic fibres in the world. This unique material provides higher grinding power, consistent performance, and finer surface finish. The self-sharpening tips offer superior grinding capability, while the end-to-end solid abrasive rod material guarantees consistent performance. Unlike other materials such as brass wire, steel wire, and abrasive-impregnated nylon brush filaments, the Xebec fibre rod retains its shape even after repeated use, leading to consistent performance. The Xebec ceramic fibre brushes deliver unparalleled grinding power, consistent cutting performance, and zero deformation. This advancement in CNC deburring and polishing is a significant breakthrough for various industries, including Aerospace, Automotive, Energy, Medical, and Production Manufacturing. Implementing Xebec deburring tools into the manufacturing process can increase productivity, decrease cycle times, and enhance repeatable dimensional component accuracy. Kemet has a team of technical experts available in the UK to assist with manufacturing needs and provide efficient and cost-saving solutions for production. To discover more about the benefits of using Xebec ceramic technology for deburring and polishing, reach out to Kemet today.
