K Lacey Cables has delivered high performance cables, wires and accessories to the UK and globally for over 50 years.
Today, we are one of the UK’s largest suppliers and stockists of PTFE Equipment Wire to BS3G210, and elite manufacturers of build to print cable and wire assemblies. We are committed to advancing our ranges through new product development, latest technologies and anticipating market changes.
We are trusted and valued by both customers and suppliers, and revered for our technical team. We boast high retention levels of staff; we value them as much as we do our customers and suppliers and as a result, we’re renowned for expert knowledge and service, building relationships to be proud of.
In recent years K Lacey has expanded their capabilities to provide cable assembly solutions to their customers from their AS9100 approved facility in Rustington, West Sussex.
K. Lacey can support small to medium volume in a variety of assembly services, including Wire harnesses and looms, cut, strip and tin, soldering, electrical testing, wire crimping and box build.
Utilising their experience and knowledge, K Lacey are also able to trace obsolete, hard to find cables and parts, or arrange custom cable production.

K. Lacey has over 50 years experience in supplying high performance, fully traceable cables for the Aerospace industry. Working to AS9100 and AS9120 standards, our team has expert product knowledge, and we are approved suppliers to GKN Aerospace, Safran, and Eaton Aerospace. Airframe and Interconnect wiring cables approved to historic Aerospace specifications. British Standard and Defence Standard Cables offered in multiple variations and size. Efwrap
EFWRAP PTFE SPIRAL WRAP PTFE Spiral Wrap Manufactured to specification EC63 and Airbus AS41088 (approved). Brand-rex (Amo- Kabel) manufactured and Airbus approved Efwrap PTFE Spiral Wrap. Efwrap is ideal for segregating complicated wiring looms giving added protection in high temperature environments. Efwrap is Available in sizes from 3mm to 25.5mm. AS41088

TC12
Traction Power/Military Vehicle Wiring/Fighting Vehicle. Endorsed by Qinetic as a suitable replacement for Unipren BS2E21. LSZH CABLE available in Black as standard (Red manufactured on request). 600/1000V -30˚C to +105˚C. K. Lacey stock the TC12 in Black in a wide range of sizes from 1mm sq up to 70mm sq and also the larger 120mm sq. TC12 Meets the requirements of EN50264-2-1 and can therefore be used as an alternative to the Standard Wall Cables RSE STD 024 Part 6 (Type II and III). With the proposal from London underground to withdraw Rolling Stock RSE STD 024 Part 6 and move across to a more available EN Standard alternative. K. Lacey are very happy to offer their TC12 Range of Traction Cable. Following the introduction of the European fire performance standard, EN 45545 Fire protection on Railway Vehicles there are several EN cable ranges associated within this.

Custom Cable
Are you struggling to find a product that suits your needs? Are you juggling flammability, temperature, voltage or environmental considerations? A custom designed cable can be an ideal solution where low volumes, including prototyping, make traditional manufacture feasible. We also offer over braiding of existing cable, or to have an overall sheath applied. Our team has all the knowledge required to advise upon your best options.

COAX
RG Coaxial Cable/Coax Cable K. Lacey stock a range of High Temperature Military Coaxial cables in accordance with MIL-C-17. This range manufactured by Habia cable is based on MIL-C-17 and intended for use primarily as a transmission line in high frequency applications. K. Lacey can also source lower temperature coaxes in PVC and PE as well as QPL Listed versions of the MIL Spec from other supplier partners.

Coil End Lead/Loop Cable
COIL END LEAD TO BS6195 Type 4 Designed for use as power leads for connection to coil winding motors, suitable as an Induction Loop cable for traffic and vehicle control systems, electrical machinery, generators and panel wiring. Traffic and vehicle control systems, electrical machinery, generators and panel wiring. K. LACEY stock as standard the Type 4A manufactured by AEI Cables. This is readily available in sizes 1mm and 1.5mm on 100m and 500m reels. Other Types and sizes can be sourced/manufactured on request from our manufacturing partners. Demolition Cable
Detonator firing circuit cable. Twisted Brown/Black (Black/Tan) PVC Insulated cores Available in Standard 0.75 (24/0.2) cores (Defence Standard 61 -12 Part 17) Also in 0.5mm (16/0.2) and 0.22mm (7/0.2) and alternative colours to special order. An ETFE lightweight version is also available. Specially designed for strength, electrical conductivity and concealment these cables have been utilised in a variety of applications. Particularly EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal)

PVC
K. Lacey stock a wide range of PVC Insulated Equipment Wire to Defence Standard 61-12 PT6 (BS4808 Part 2). We can also offer multicore versions to Defence Standards Part 4 and 5 as well as Trirated, UL Hook Up Wires and a range of Control Cables. Defence Standard 61 -12 Part 6 Defence Standard 61 -12 Part 4 Defence Standard 61 -12 Part 5 BS4808 PART 2 UL/CSA/TEW Suitable for internal wiring of electronic equipment and instrument panel wiring.

Cable Assembly Services
Using state of the art, automated technology, we produce in-house manufactured cable and wire assemblies from our manufacturing facility in West Sussex. This technology enables us to take orders of varying sizes and to very precise needs; our experience and attention to detail sees us offer you valued advice from conception through to manufacturing.

Cut, Strip and Tin
K. Lacey is able to offer wire preparation services using our automated machinery, we have the capability to cut, strip and tin standard equipment wire as well as multi core and custom cables. Using our automated machinery we can ensure a consistent and quality product every time.

Wire Crimping Services
K. Lacey have invested heavily into our wire crimping services and offer a large number of crimping solutions, these include: Quality approved hand crimping tools used for low volumes. A large variety of crimp applicators for semi-automatic wire crimping machines designed to meet a wide range of electronic applications. Semi-automatic crimping machines are used when a more reliable, cost effective and time-saving solution is required. We work with leading wire crimp brands such as AMP, Harting, Hirose, JST, Molex, TE Connectivity, and Tyco and if we don’t have the appropriate tooling on site, K. Lacey can get tooling made to meet our customers product design.

Cable Soldering Services
For some of our customers cable and other soldering is essential in the manufacture of their assemblies and at K. Lacey we pride ourselves on the quality of our production teams soldering ability. Our capabilities range from soldering a variety of connectors including D-Subs, Mil Spec and more specialist type connectors like Lemo. As standard we cover our connections with a clear sleeve to enable a visual inspection by our QA team of the solder joint. Our operators work to IPC Standards.

Wiring harnesses and looms
K. Lacey are a specialist manufacturer in the assembly of wiring harnesses and looms. We produce high quality products in our AS9100 approved manufacturing facility based in West Sussex. Our customers use Looms as a key component in a variety of market sectors that rely on high performance products. We support a range of industries including: Aerospace Lighting Medical Automotive EV Electronics

Box Build
To further support our customers; we also offer a box build solution as part of our assembly services if required. Our box build service involves everything from simple PCB enclosure mounting to full system wiring and we can support you and your business by helping you to simplify your supply chain and reduce your suppliers. This in turn will improve delivery times and costs. The only thing it doesn’t include is manufacturing of the PCB. Our goal is to help you, so you can concentrate on other areas of your business and win more opportunities.

Cable Caddy
Custom built Cable Caddy utilising various cable and connector configurations to suit many different applications from, Audio, Video, Power and data, these can be designed to suit most requirements and can combine different cables within the same reel. We only use the Schill range of hand wound cable reels, Lightweight Plastic, Steel or Framed options for easy stacking, we even offer optional panels and coiling options.
