McCarthy Environmental and McCarthy Hire bring complementary expertise to manufacturers, fabricators and process industries across the UK. McCarthy Environmental specialises in workplace exposure control and compliance, while McCarthy Hire provides equipment hire for cooling, dust and fume extraction, and industrial vacuum applications. Both are based in Northampton, and both share the same engineering rigour and practical, no-nonsense approach to keeping people safe and production moving.
McCarthy Environmental specialises in LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation) testing, COSHH compliance and industrial ventilation design, installation and maintenance. We act as a genuine turnkey partner rather than a one-off contractor, working to HSG258 and COSHH requirements from initial assessment through to ongoing thorough examination and test. Our engineers understand the regulatory side as well as the technical one, so clients get ventilation systems that are properly specified, properly maintained, and properly documented when the HSE comes knocking. It's compliance you don't have to think about twice.
McCarthy Hire is our newest venture, built to put the right equipment on site, fast. We hire out portable cooling units, dust and fume extraction equipment, and industrial vacuums for businesses that need reliable kit without the capital outlay of buying it outright. Whether it's keeping a factory floor liveable through a heatwave, managing airborne particulates during a refurbishment, or clearing debris on a tight turnaround, our hire fleet is backed by the same engineering rigour that underpins McCarthy Environmental. ESTA Dustomat Hydro
The Dustomat Hydro is a compact wet filter unit suitable for multi and single station extraction of metallic dusts & sparks produced during applications including welding, polishing, & grinding. For explosive materials an ATEX compliant version is available. The Hydro series utilised water separation technology; the first stage filter possessing a separation efficiency of 98.7% subsequently remedying sparks and dusts effectively harmless. Contaminants extracted are effectively bound in water which can be then discharged via a drain cock located at the bottom on the unit. The extracted air is then fed through a multi-stage filter system which can be configured according to the user's individual needs and intended application. For particularly hazardous dusts , a Hepa H 14 filter is recommended ( possessing a separation efficiency of >99.995%, allowing clean air to be exhausted back into the atmosphere. ESTA Downdraft Table
The ESTA series of down draft tables are well suited for industries that work with metal dusts, Plastic dusts, CFRP-/GFRP dusts, Stone dusts, as well as vapours and welding fumes. Activities where these contaminants may be present include machining, mixing, grinding, ect. Different sizes are available depending on the user's needs and both stationary set up and mobile set up are available. The table is highly adjustable, and is available in a standard set up ( no panels ), with side panels, and finally with a back wall extraction panel as well.
ESTA TK Series of Small Dust Collectors
The ESTA TK are a series of small dust collections for occasional operation in workplaces with low volumes of dust. Their small, compact design nakes thenm a very convenient solition for many and are suitable for industries that predominantly work with emtal dusts and shavings. The TK series can be used as both single workstation extraction nd direct extraction from another machine. They are very easy to operate and set up and offer numerous beneits, includingl low operationg costs, included dust collection frawer, low maintennace costs, and small space requirements. Special versions are also available depending on the user's intensions, including; a custom paint finish, a side channel blower for high negative pressure, portable frame, Motor in A/C and third-phase A/C current, and filter material for fine dust
ESTA Dustomat DRY
The ESTA Dustomat Dry series of compact dust extractors are suitable for applications that include plastic, composites, and metals, possessing a separation efficiency of up to 99.995%. The Dry series can configured in multiple configurations, including activated carbon options, HEPA Filtration, variable speed drives, W3 option for welding and for dust applications ATEX certification.
