Energy Saving Air

Axial Fans - High pressure mini tube or duct fans with new high speed motors
Micronel will introduce several new product ranges during 2023 starting with a new extension and upgrade to their range of axial “tube” or “duct” fans. Compared to normal flat fans the New Micronel D-Line Tube Fans provide much higher pressures, up to 940 pa whilst still maintaining high air flows up to 1910 lpm and can easily force air through densely packed electronic systems, labyrinths, and along tubes both in pressure and suction applications. The new Micronel Tube D Fans comprise a highly efficient, high speed brushless motor that gives longer life and higher efficiency and has a built-in integrated BLDC driver electronic for plug and run ease of use. Available in a range of voltages and modular sizes from the super small 24mm Ø diameter through to the high airflow 80mm Ø making them ideal for applications from portable battery handheld through to larger industrial cooling and ventilation options. The higher speed motors rotate at up to 19,500rpm and can be controlled with dedicated set speed signal voltage or PWM and have a Tachometer output option for speed and operation feedback. A choice of optional flange mountings is available as well as guards and filters and full customization is possible. Radial Blowers for Medical Applications
Micronel high pressure medical blowers and turbine products are used in a wide variety of medical and scientific equipment requiring precise air movement of some kind. Applications such as Breathing therapy, Ventilators, Respirators, Personal Protection, ICU Air Mattresses, Air Purification, Disinfection, Air Sampling, Laboratory, Diagnostic & Test all require some form of air movement with significant pressure or suction (vacuum) to force air through tubes or chambers or overcome system/filter resistance. Micronel’s high performance blower range are perfectly tailored to the needs and requirements of medical breathing ventilation therapy. Full Intensive care unit (ICU) intubated ventilator systems may require over 60+ millibar pressure to fill and inflate diseased lungs. For less severe cases a less harsh treatment may be used with a tight-fitting mask to provide so called continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) as an alternative non-invasive method of ventilator support for some patients. CPAP ventilators typically require around 20 to 30 millibars pressure to assist with breathing and oxygen therapy. Micronel’s medical blowers and turbines utilise long life, highly efficient high-speed brushless motor drives in the smallest form factors to generate high static pressures up to 16 mbar with up to 1000 l/min free blowing airflow. Crucially versions with Oxygen O2 and anaesthetic gas resistance are also available. Many other diverse medical related applications require air movement and pressure ranging from pressure relieving air mattresses to prevent bed sores in patients confined to hospital beds in intensive care, disinfection systems for a variety of settings through to air monitoring and sampling in pharmaceutical production plants and laboratories.

Tube fans provide high air flow rates with consistently high pressure behavior. The ideal solution for suction, ventilation and cooling applications of all kinds. Our powerful tube fans are used wherever high-pressure volume flows are required in confined spaces. Typical applications are cooling, fresh air or exhaust applications in medical or industrial environments. Our blowers are extremely efficient, low-noise and durable. We mainly use brushless motors of the highest quality, ensuring maximum power density with high efficiency and long service life. Electronics for Fans & Accesories
No mechanics without electronics. Our fans and blowers are often available with BLDC driver electronics already integrated. For blowers without integrated electronics, solutions need to be provided by the customer, which usually require a lot of effort and care. To simplify this process, we offer the Evaluation Motor Driver Box MDB-48/10 as a development tool. Another helpful product is the versatile brushless motor driver MSDM-24/10, specifically designed for the sensorless operation of Micronel blowers, to enable seamless system integration.

That is why machine and plant manufacturers as well as production companies rely on Micronel high-performance blowers in process control and automation applications. The reliable high-tech solutions enable new and more efficient application possibilities and promote independence in comparison with previous compressed air systems. Thanks to their very small compact sizes, Micronel blowers are suitable for decentralised installations and can be placed adjacent to the relevant process reducing pressure losses incurred in long air supply lines and allows flexible installation without the need to install or relocate air lines. Dynamic blower control allows air supply to be called up as on demand as required, increasing the efficiency of the application. Here is a simple example: compared to a conventional Air-Knife compressed air application, with an annual consumption of 60000 m³ air volume, a Micronel Radial Blower U100H4 (pressure 165 hPa, flow volume 820 l/min) with a power consumption of 100 watts pays for itself in energy savings after only half a year. The performance and cost savings of the blowers is particularly evident in applications such as drying and cleaning processes, where high pressure and a considerable volume of air are constantly required. Micronel blowers are also extremely advantageous in suction and extraction processes, such as pick & place processes or vacuum holding or conveying technology.
