We are South West Fabrications, an expanding third generation family business with over 50 years experience in the metalwork and fabrication industry. We provide expert precision engineering services across industrial, commercial, and retail sectors throughout the UK and Europe.
We’re a one stop shop for all of your metalwork needs, made up of a team of accomplished, dedicated and talented in-house engineers. Whatever the project, we’ll see it through from inception to fabrication to assembly. And in the meantime, we’ll offer you the excellent, responsive service you deserve. CNC PUNCHING
We have a team of experienced in-house CNC Punching engineers, whose skills are ideally matched to our supply of state-of-the-art machinery. That includes AMADA high precision ns intelligent CNC turret punch press machines, the best in the business, which are also fitted with the latest tooling and technology. We’ve worked in the metalwork and fabrications industry for a collective of 50+ years. We’re well connected within our sector, able to stay up to date with the latest trends, techniques and best practices, as well as continually investing in the most advanced tech to complement our machinery
LASER CUTTING
Precision is at the core of everything we do at South West Fabrications, and that’s where laser cutting comes in. This is one of the most precise and accurate fabrication processes, and our team of skilled and innovative laser cutters can apply it to any product. There are a few different types of laser cutting that can be used for varying outcomes, and paired with our specialists’ expert knowledge plus continual investment into new tech, tools, and techniques, laser cutting can be an efficient, cost effective way to guarantee absolute precision.
CNC FOLDING
Skilled and experienced, innovative and passionate. Our CNC Bending engineers are the best in the business, armed with state-of-the-art machinery that gets the job done. Specifically, our team work with AMADA CNC synchonised hydraulic press brakes, which are fitted with the latest tooling and technology and continually updated. Each machine is fitted with digital bending calibration, which guarantees precision accuracy - and means our clients can be confident that each finished product will get it right the first time.
MIG, TIG, ALUMINIUM, STAINLESS STEEL AND SPOT WELDING
Welding is an essential job for many components of manufacturing and production, but it can also be a complex one - there are many different types of welding with a variety of applications. Luckily, our team of talented welders are experts in Mig/Tig/Aluminium/spot welding and Stainless Steel Welding. Our specialists are innovative and versatile, equipped with the most advanced technology as well as an ongoing industry knowledge that’s second to none. Always in the know when it comes to the latest techniques, trends and best practices, any welding job is completed with ease, expertise and precision.
WET PAINTING AND POWDER COATING
For best results and better products, surface preparation is key. In fact, the quality of surface preparation can often be one of the most significant factors in influencing coating performance later on. It’s vital to get it right the first time, and that’s where our surface preparation team comes in. We use modern, automated, pre-treatment facilities to ensure the utmost consistency and removing grease and debris, whilst keying the material to maximise paint adhesion.
DESIGN
South West Fabrications are proud to be experts in both design and redesign. Striving to use the latest industry techniques and practices, as well as investing in the most advanced technology, we conceptualise and design new products from sketches or detailed drawings. Our engineers are talented, motivated, and innovative, able to work with any material your project requires. Using the latest version of Solidworks®, our design - and manufacturing - processes are completely optimised, while integration with our Product Management System guarantees that we are always working with the latest revision. This results in a streamlined process that gets it right the first time. We’re also proud to be able to facilitate the creation of one-off production quality prototypes, which improve the evaluation and testing phases

The tools this team uses depend entirely on the unique design of the product or component required. Our engineers are used to working with a large variety of different materials, working flexibly to accommodate our clients’ needs, and are constantly applying different techniques and practices to innovate product after product.
