Europlacer has today announced its membership of GIFAS (Groupement des Industries Françaises Aéronautiques et Spatiales), the leading organization representing the entire aerospace, space and defense sector in France. Through this membership, Europlacer also joins GEADS, the network bringing together the sector’s equipment manufacturers and suppliers, confirming its determination to establish itself for the long term at the heart of a strategic industrial ecosystem.
GIFAS brings together nearly 500 companies, from major contractors to SMEs and start-ups, around a common goal: to support the performance, innovation and sovereignty of a key industry. With more than 115 years of history, GIFAS structures its work around three missions: representation before French, European and international institutions; the coordination of research, innovation and standardization efforts; and the promotion of the sector both in France and internationally. The sector it represents carries major economic weight, with more than €77 billion in revenue.

Reducing process variation in HMLV sensitive industry electronics manufacturing through stabilized printing
High-mix manufacturing is often defined by its variety, but success in this environment depends on consistency. In sectors like aerospace, defense, and medical electronics, HMLV (High-Mix, Low-Volume) production presents a unique paradox.

First Board Right: when the first board becomes an economic issue
For a long time, manufacturers considered the first board produced at the start of a new run a normal step in the setup process.

Speed versus Flexibility: Why Traditional SMT Metrics No Longer Work
For years, the electronics manufacturing industry relied on a simple equation: higher placement speed = better productivity. But today’s SMT world is very different.

Why Software Is the Hidden Engine of High Mix SMT Performance
In modern electronics manufacturing, the spotlight often falls on machines, placement, accuracy, feeder capacity, component range. These specifications are essential, but in a high‑mix SMT environment, they tell only a fraction of the story. .
