Water-White Polyurethane Resin for LED Lighting. NP1490 is a high-performance, two-part water-white polyurethane resin developed for applications where optical clarity, UV resistance, and durability are essential. Designed specifically for LED lighting encapsulation and clear castings, NP1490 combines excellent visual transparency with flexibility and impact resistance, making it ideal for demanding industrial and commercial environments.

Thanks to its exceptional UV stability, NP1490 water-white polyurethane resin has long-term clarity with minimal yellowing, even when exposed to continuous light sources. This makes it particularly well-suited to LED systems, optical components, light diffusers, and decorative clear castings where appearance is critical.
Water-white polyurethane resin with Outstanding Optical Performance
NP1490 cures to a water-white polyurethane resin finish with high light transmission and excellent surface quality. Its low viscosity and good air-release characteristics allow the resin to flow easily into moulds and encapsulations, reducing trapped air and delivering smooth, bubble-free results when used with appropriate degassing techniques.

The system is formulated to bond well to hard plastics and properly prepared metals, offering reliable adhesion across a wide range of substrates commonly used in lighting and electronic assemblies.

Flexible, Tough & Impact Resistant
Unlike brittle clear resins, NP1490 cures to a flexible polyurethane with a Shore A hardness of approximately 75. This flexibility provides enhanced impact resistance and vibration tolerance, helping to protect sensitive components such as LEDs and electronic assemblies from mechanical stress.

Once cured, NP1490 performs reliably across a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +130°C (application and geometry dependent), making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
