ABL Aluminium Components specialises in the fabrication, finishing and assembly of aluminium extrusions.
The company was established in 1975 and operates from a 5000m2 facility in Birmingham, just 5 miles from Birmingham airport and the motorway network. ABL Aluminium Components adopts a very high customer service ethic which it brings to the various market sectors it serves.

Fabrication and Machining Services At ABL Aluminium Components, we provide a comprehensive range of fabrication and machining services to support aluminium extrusion projects from raw profile through to finished component. Our recent investment in a new 5-axis CNC machining centre allows us to machine more complex geometries and multi-face features in a single setup, improving accuracy, consistency and turnaround times for our customers. Our fabrication and machining capabilities include: Cut-to-length processing, from short components through to long-length extrusions (25 mm up to 14 m) Deburring and edge finishing for safe handling and improved presentation 5-axis CNC machining for complex and high-precision components Drilling, tapping and milling Bending and forming of aluminium profiles A wide range of secondary operations to meet specific customer drawings and requirements We work closely with our customers to ensure machining strategies align with functional requirements, tolerances and cost targets, delivering aluminium components that are ready for finishing, assembly or direct integration into their end application.

This “one-partner” approach can free up space on your own shop floor, reduce procurement complexity, and save time and administration on multiple purchase orders. Our assembly services include: Mechanical jointing and precision assembly of multiple parts Adhesive bonding where required for strength or aesthetic reasons Mig and Tig welding, with coded capability across a range of materials and thicknesses, including aluminium extrusions, aluminium components, castings and steel elements We manage the bill of materials on your behalf, sourcing and organising all necessary components, including non-aluminium parts, so that your assemblies arrive complete and tested. Our welding capability is robust and flexible: Fully coded and quality-controlled welding to meet demanding specifications Ability to handle joint thicknesses from thin gauge sections up to several centimetres Airtight and watertight welds where required — crucial for applications such as designer radiators and sealed enclosures Pressure testing up to 7 psi to verify the integrity of key assemblies By combining our fabrication, machining, finishing and assembly expertise, we deliver high-quality, ready-to-install components that help streamline your production, reduce lead times and improve overall project efficiency.

Automatic Powder Coating Line At ABL Aluminium Components, we’ve recently invested in a new automatic powder coating line, featuring the WAGNER Supercentre Evo spray booth and a bespoke conveyor track designed specifically to suit our space, workflow and production requirements. The Supercentre Evo is a high-performance automatic powder application system, designed to deliver consistent, repeatable coating quality across aluminium components of varying sizes and complexities. By automating the powder application process, we’re able to achieve a uniform, high-quality finish while maintaining tight control over coating thickness and appearance. Our custom-designed track system allows parts to move efficiently through the coating process, optimising throughput and ensuring smooth integration with our wider fabrication, machining and assembly operations.
