About us

Rutland Plastics has been in the plastics business for over 70 years. With over 30 moulding machines on site in Rutland, ranging from 50 tonnes to 2400 tonnes. We offer a full range of plastic injection moulding services across all sectors with the ability to make plastic parts from 1g to 45kg in weight and up to 1.7m in size. We have in-house design, toolmaking, production and post-production services such as machining, printing, assembly, and warehousing. A cloud-based ERP system underpins all operations, ensuring full traceability and flexibility. Rutland Plastics can produce to order or align with customer schedules.

Rutland Plastics places a strong emphasis on sustainability and environmental responsibility. Our production processes are designed to minimize environmental impact supported by an ongoing self-funded sustainability program. Initiatives include the installation of 900 photovoltaic panels on its warehouse roof and the use of REGO-certified electricity.

Our dedication to quality and excellence is reflected numerous accreditations. We have held Investors in People status since 1995 and also hold Quality Management (ISO 9001), Medical Devices Quality Management (ISO 13485), and Environmental Management (ISO 14001). Rutland Plastics is also a proud member of the BPF, GTMA, and Make UK, and holds SEDEX certification. We were named Processor of the Year in 2021.
