Powder Coating
Broxton's powder coating process is renowned for its durability and quality finish. Our best-in-class powder coating facility, which opened in 2018 with a £1 million investment, sets the standard for UK subcontractors. Equipped with world-class application technology from GEMA and process plant from TD Finishing, our facility features a three-stage iron-phosphate pretreatment that thoroughly cleans and phosphates parts prior to paint application. Efficient drying and stoving ovens ensure parts are properly dried and fully stoved, resulting in a durable, high-quality finish. Our 100-meter conveyorized line effortlessly handles significant volumes of metal parts throughout the clean, paint, and stove process. With six reciprocators and two manual touch-up stations, we offer a large capacity for mid to high volume painting. Our parts are programmed for efficient and repeatable paint applications, supported by a powder recycling system with an ultrasonic sieve that reduces powder usage by 45%. Our expert paint team ensures the highest quality applications, upheld by rigorous preventative maintenance and 5S practices to support Right First-Time application. Every part undergoes 100% inspection, and we use high-quality powders to further optimize paint finish.

Your metal will be pre-treated and coated to an exceptionally high standard and we go beyond that - our expertise extends to developing new pre-treatments and powder coatings for unique applications. Powder coating plant capacity You can send us low-volume, fast turnaround prototype parts as well as tightly controlled production components. Our facility can process small, fragile aluminium and magnesium components, as well as accommodating sections up to 4 metres long. We have a pilot line facility for development work, prototype testing and scale-up validated to two automated production lines.

Powder Coating and Wet Spray Painting
We have recently installed two new 2m square RDM Box Ovens in the powder coating area as well as having purchased two new Air flow Powder coating booths. Our highly skilled full-time paint sprayers ensure that components are prepared and painted to a quality normally expected from a bespoke component rather than a production batch. A third new RDM Box Oven is located in our Wet spray area. Like our powder coat area, the wet spray area is enclosed and sectioned off from the rest off the factory to avoid contamination, this is well ventilated and filtered to preserve the environment. Our sprayers have 65 years of combined experience.

Powder, Wet Paint and Silk Screening
We provide powder, wet paint and silk screening within our turnkey sheet metal and fabrication engineering solutions. Our fully automated powder paint coating includes pre-treatment areas, drying ovens, powder painting booths and stoving ovens.

PPS Expandable Braided Sleeving
A proven solution for the protection, strengthening and bundling of wires, cables and flexible pipe systems. PPS expandable braided sleeving is made of lightweight but tough 0.22mm polyester monofilaments of the highest quality and tensile properties. This expandable braiding product provides excellent mechanical protection, with a continuous operating temperature of -50°C to +150°C and a resistance to most chemicals. PPS can be used in hostile environments and is suitable for all industries. The push back expansion effect of this product enables a few sizes to cover a wide range of applications. PPS readily expands which makes installation efficient even over large diameter transitions and around bends. Once installed it retracts to conform to the application shape resulting in a smooth, close fitting sleeve.

Practical Based Electronics Training Courses
Our public practical training courses, known commonly as our 'C' courses, are designed to include a good balance of theory and hands-on practical training in assembly, inspection and rework and repair of PCB's/PCBA's and cable and wire harnesses.

Pre-Mix Frozen Resins
Premixed and frozen resins are a convenient and reliable solution for your production line. PMF refers to the blending, packaging and freezing of two component resin/catalyst systems. Our expert team will mix, degas, weigh and package the two-component system, before flash freezing the contents at -78.5°C. The end user will then simply thaw and dispense when required, using the PMF package with total confidence. The pre-mix frozen resin product will be shipped in dry ice and must be stored in a freezer with a temperature of -40 °C. Full instructions for handling, thawing and storage will be provided to customers.
