E-Qual 96TSC is a high-performance, lead-free solder alloy designed as a direct substitute for traditional tin/lead solders in all electronics assembly operations. It is an all-around, lead-free alternative proven in production use. This eutectic alloy offers a precise melting point and exceptional joint performance. Key Features - Lead-Free Alternative: Eliminates lead handling and waste management hazards, ensuring RoHS compliant assemblies. - Eutectic Alloy: Features a single melting point of 217°c (no melting range) for consistent results. - High Performance: Soldered joints perform as well as tin/lead joints in most respects. - Compatibility: Compatible with all flux types. - Reliability: Offers excellent tensile strength (52N/mm²) and creep strength (>300h with 180°c load). Product Description E-Qual 96TSC alloy is the lowest melting, high-tin, lead-free alloy without undesirable additions. While equipment settings will require adjustment due to its melting point being 34°c higher than tin/lead eutectic alloy, the resulting soldered joints provide reliable performance. Regular analysis of the solder bath content is recommended to ensure optimum performance and prevent impurity build-up. DKL Metals offers a free bath analysis program for this purpose to our customers. Copper levels can often be controlled by topping up the bath with E-Qual 96TS copper-free alloy. 𝐀𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐞 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐂𝐁𝐀’𝐬 Its purpose is to protect electronic circuits from harsh environments that may contain moisture and or chemical contaminants. By being electrically insulating, it maintains long-term surface insulation resistance (SIR) levels and thus ensures the operational integrity of the assembly. It also provides a barrier to air-borne contaminants from the operating environment, such as salt-spray, thus preventing corrosion. We have the ability to either dip, spray or brush finish your product dependent on your requirements. All our conformal coatings contain a UV trace that glows with a bright blue luminescence under UV light to make coated and uncoated areas easily detectable. All our conformal coating production processes are visually inspected in production under a UV light. The conformal coatings we use are all environmentally friendly. If you require a specific specification of conformal coating we are always happy to source it on your behalf and use it solely on your products.
