Screw Presenter
The Cost-Effective Entry Point to Production Automation Looking for a quick, affordable way to automate your assembly process—but a fully automatic screw feeder isn’t practical due to low screw volumes? The DEPRAG Screw Presenter and Screw Dispenser offer the perfect solution. The Screw Presenter automatically positions each screw for pickup by a handheld or stationary screwdriver, streamlining manual assembly with minimal investment. In contrast, the Screw Dispenser provides screws for manual removal, offering simple yet reliable support for low-volume operations. Designed for screws with a shaft diameter of 1.4–5 mm and a maximum shaft length of 18 mm, this system is especially well-suited for countersunk screws, ensuring smooth, precise handling every time. How the Screw Presenter Works A screw separator sorts and positions each individual screw for pickup. The operator removes the screw with an upward motion for efficient handling. A signal output enables the host controller to monitor and manage the pickup position for seamless process integration. With DEPRAG’s Screw Presenter and Screw Dispenser, you gain a cost-effective, flexible introduction to automation, enhancing productivity without the complexity of a full feeding system.

Secondary Operations
Secondary operations encompass the essential finishing steps that transform individual components into fully functional products. At Flambeau Europe, our expertise ensures that every part leaving our facility is ready for its intended application, meeting the highest standards of quality and performance. These operations include machining, trimming, drilling, threading, and any other processes required to complete a component beyond its initial moulding. By integrating secondary operations into our turnkey service, we eliminate the need for external subcontracting, reducing lead times, costs, and potential quality inconsistencies. Our team carefully plans each secondary operation to align with the production sequence, ensuring precision and repeatability. Coupled with in-line inspection and rigorous quality control, we maintain dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and functional performance across every batch. By providing secondary operations in-house, Flambeau Europe delivers a seamless pathway from design and manufacturing to assembly-ready components. Customers benefit from reduced handling, faster time-to-market, and a fully integrated manufacturing experience that keeps projects on schedule and within specification. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀: • Comprehensive finishing: Machining, trimming, welding, and more performed in-house. • Quality assurance: Rigorous checks ensure consistent performance. • Reduced lead times: Eliminate reliance on external subcontractors. • Cost efficiency: Streamlined processes save time and money. • Turnkey integration: Components ready for assembly or distribution.

SECTION ROLLING

Selective Plating
With selective plating only a portion of a component is plated. This can offer functional benefits when using different coatings on the same component and with precious metals the advantage of reducing material consumption / cost whilst still maintaining functionality and performance. TPG has designed and developed its own selective gold plating machines for the last 40 years. TPG’s Cyclon machine is the world’s only fully automatic coax connector selective gold plating line – capable of plating selectively either externally or internally a large volume of loose parts. Some applications have even been designed to graduate the internal thickness of plating in the bore so that there is a thicker deposit in the contact area further in the connector than at the opening.

Selective Soldering
Selective soldering uses a precise nozzle to apply solder only to designated areas of a PCB. This process is especially useful for mixed-technology boards with both through-hole and surface-mount components. Stewart Technology operates three selective soldering machines, allowing precise control over each solder joint. This makes it possible to solder components in areas that cannot be wave soldered and manage complex or delicate board designs. Selective soldering reduces thermal stress on sensitive components and prevents solder bridging, improving overall board reliability. This high level of control ensures that even the most complex assemblies are soldered accurately, which is critical for boards with tight spacing or sensitive electronic parts. This process provides a balance of efficiency and precision, making it ideal for customers who need reliable mixed-technology assemblies, while maintaining maximum product quality.
