In-Mould Labelling

In-mould labelling (IML) is an advanced manufacturing technique that integrates printed labels directly into the surface of plastic components during the moulding process. This allows logos, branding, and product information to become a permanent part of the item, offering superior durability, aesthetics, and resistance to wear compared to traditional post-production labelling methods.

At Flambeau Europe, we use IML to create high-quality, fully customised branding on injection-moulded parts. The process begins with precision-printed labels that are carefully placed into the mould cavity. During injection, molten polymer fuses with the label, producing a seamless, scratch-resistant finish that maintains clarity and vibrancy over the productโ€™s lifetime.

IML provides multiple advantages for businesses. It ensures brand consistency, reduces the risk of label peeling or fading, and eliminates the need for separate labelling steps in assembly, saving time and cost. Additionally, it allows for complex designs, multi-colour logos, and regulatory or product information to be included directly on the part.

By integrating in-mould labelling into our turnkey manufacturing service, Flambeau Europe ensures that branded components are produced efficiently, accurately, and ready for assembly or distribution. Customers benefit from a streamlined process, high-quality presentation, and enhanced brand impact on every product.
