ATUM is a general purpose, flexible, polyolefin tubing with a thermoplastic adhesive inner liner. The inner liner will melt and flow to environmentally seal and protect components and interconnections. The Raychem brand of heat shrinkable sleeving (now owned by TE Connectivity) is world renowned as the market-leading product. These products are the standard bearer and offer the best performing and highest quality product available. The ATUM product is supplied with the optimum amount of adhesive to ensure that the product fully seals and successful installation should see some excess adhesive wicking from the tube. This is a telltale sign that the product has a complete seal. There are many cheaper and inferior products available, but none of these has the same amount of adhesive or performs to the same level. Our Scanspection AOI systems use high-resolution cameras to capture detailed images of PCBs. Sumac have five autonomous machine loading solutions to allow for lights out, un-manned 24-7 manufacturing. This allow the business to flex from single shift working of circa 860 hrs per month up to just over 3600 hrs per month, without the need to employ additional personnel. Over the years we have developed our printing department and perfected the art of screen printing onto customers parts. With our newly purchased Automated Screen-printing machine, we are now able to increase capacity, provide consistent quality and an even more professional finish. We have now further expanded and improved our printing offerings, by introducing pad printing. With our new pad printing equipment, we are able to print high volumes of parts in two colours. This enables us to speedup the process, saving our customers time and setup costs. Pad Printing can also be used to print complex components.
