    1. ATUM

      ATUM

ATUM is a general purpose, flexible, polyolefin tubing with a thermoplastic adhesive inner liner. The inner liner will melt and flow to environmentally seal and protect components and interconnections. The Raychem brand of heat shrinkable sleeving (now owned by TE Connectivity) is world renowned as the market-leading product. These products are the standard bearer and offer the best performing and highest quality product available. The ATUM product is supplied with the optimum amount of adhesive to ensure that the product fully seals and successful installation should see some excess adhesive wicking from the tube. This is a telltale sign that the product has a complete seal. There are many cheaper and inferior products available, but none of these has the same amount of adhesive or performs to the same level. Undoubtedly, this product is ‘The King’ of the glue lined heat shrink products

    4. AutoCHT

      AutoCHT

The AutoCHT is a precision tool developed to simulate and control localised condensation on electronic test boards during Damp Heat Testing (DHT). It works by adjusting the temperature of the test board independently of the chamber's environment—adjust test board temperature precisely to 0.1°C control, to at least 1˚C below the Dew Point. Paired with the AutoSIR2+, the tester enables real-time monitoring of how moisture affects different board designs, spacings, and coatings—giving you unrivalled insight into moisture-driven failures.

    5. AutoDesk MoldFlow Analysis

      AutoDesk MoldFlow Analysis

MoldFlow analysis is a vital step in ensuring injection moulded parts perform as intended. At Flambeau Europe, we use Autodesk MoldFlow software to simulate the flow of plastic in a mould cavity before tooling is manufactured. This allows us to predict and address issues such as incomplete fills, weld lines, air traps, warpage, or uneven cooling — all of which can compromise part quality and cause costly delays if left unchecked. Through simulation, we can make informed recommendations on gate placement, runner design, wall thickness, and cooling layouts. This optimises the tool for efficient moulding, shorter cycle times, and consistent, defect-free parts. MoldFlow also provides valuable insight into polymer behaviour, helping us confirm the right material choice and processing conditions. By identifying problems digitally, customers save time and money by avoiding multiple tool modifications and reducing time-to-market. The process also provides reassurance that the final part will meet both performance and aesthetic requirements. Our MoldFlow capability integrates seamlessly with CAD design, tool manufacture, and prototyping, ensuring continuity at every stage. This closed-loop approach reduces risk, streamlines development, and provides transparency on outcomes. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀: • Early validation: Spot and resolve issues before tools are cut. • Cost savings: Fewer iterations, faster development. • Optimised production: Tools designed for efficiency and quality. • Material insight: Predict flow, cooling, and shrinkage behaviour accurately. With MoldFlow analysis built into our turnkey service, Flambeau Europe ensures every product enters production with confidence, efficiency, and reduced risk.

    6. Automated 5 axis machining solution

      Automated 5 axis machining solution

Sumac have five autonomous machine loading solutions to allow for lights out, un-manned 24-7 manufacturing. This allow the business to flex from single shift working of circa 860 hrs per month up to just over 3600 hrs per month, without the need to employ additional personnel. This can be implemented with immediate effect, once the raw material hits the factory. We also hold strategic material stock for customers that share their future demands, enabling the business to support very urgent requirements. This agility allows the business to control input, labour costs and quality without little need for additional overtime and late shift patterns. This protects our people`s well being by avoiding unsociable working shifts.

    7. Automated Robot Guidance (ARG)

      Automated Robot Guidance (ARG)

ARG (Automated Robot Guidance) is an advanced 3D vision system designed to enhance the accuracy, flexibility, and reliability of robotic tightening and drilling operations. Developed for Stop & Go production lines, ARG enables robots and cobots to precisely locate assembly points and adapt to part variability in real time without relying on rigid fixtures. By allowing robots to “see” the workpiece, ARG transforms traditional automation into an intelligent, adaptive process suitable for modern manufacturing environments. Smarter Robot Guidance with 3D Vision: ARG uses high-precision 3D vision technology to detect holes, fasteners, or features on the part and calculate their exact spatial position. The system automatically guides the robot tool to the correct location, compensating for variations in part placement, tolerances, or lighting conditions. This ensures consistent accuracy and quality, even in applications where component positioning cannot be perfectly controlled. Increased Flexibility and Productivity: Traditional automated stations often require complex mechanical fixtures to achieve repeatability. ARG reduces or eliminates this dependency by handling part variability digitally rather than mechanically. This increases line flexibility, shortens changeover times, and allows manufacturers to respond more quickly to product or process changes. Fast image capture and processing ensure that robot guidance is achieved with minimal impact on cycle time. Easy Integration and User-Friendly Operation: ARG is delivered as a complete, ready-to-integrate solution that works with all major industrial robots and collaborative robots. An intuitive software interface simplifies setup, configuration, and operation, reducing programming effort and time to deployment. The system is designed for easy scaling across multiple stations or production lines.

    8. Automated Screen and Pad Printing

      Automated Screen and Pad Printing

Over the years we have developed our printing department and perfected the art of screen printing onto customers parts. With our newly purchased Automated Screen-printing machine, we are now able to increase capacity, provide consistent quality and an even more professional finish. We have now further expanded and improved our printing offerings, by introducing pad printing. With our new pad printing equipment, we are able to print high volumes of parts in two colours. This enables us to speedup the process, saving our customers time and setup costs. Pad Printing can also be used to print complex components.
